  • Class One Marble Treat Day

    Thu 08 Jul 2021

Unfortunately due to Covid-19 and various circumstances beyond our control we were unable to venture further afield for our Marble Treat Day. We had in mind trips such as Wacky Warehouse, All Things Wild and Broadway Park, but these were not feasible.

That being said, our picnic party at the Forest School field was a great success (thank you, weather, for working in our favour!!). The children were really excited to show Miss Touron around the forest school area and have their teacher's full attention.

Footballers run amok, hula-hoops spun and balls bounced in their beloved area. The children played pass the parcel and had endless games with the parachute before having a picnic.

There were lots of smiles and laughter and the fun-filled morning was rounded off with yummy ice-lollies!

Many thanks to Friends of School who gave the children a bug-hunting gift each to take home - a lovely reminder of their picnic party.

  • Letter for Parents of Reception Children 2021

    Mon 28 Jun 2021

The following letter outlines key dates for children starting in Reception in September 2021.

    28th June 2021

    Dear Parents,

INSET and Term Dates for 2021 – 2022

Please find the dates for the next academic year (2021-2022).

You will notice that there are three INSET days in September 2021 and that this is in contrast to the usual pattern.

On this occasion, in order to get the best quality training providers for our staff (and to therefore benefit the children) in the areas that we are looking to develop in particular next year (Physical Education and Writing) amongst others, I have had to change the usual pattern of training to ensure that this can take place. Therefore, there will be three INSET days in September and a final two INSET days in July 2022. There will be no other INSET days in between. Thank you for your understanding.

Dates for 2021-2022 for children in Reception:

     Term 1: Monday 6th September – Friday 22nd October

Monday 6th September – Friday 10th September: Reception attend mornings only until 12 noon. They go home for lunch.

Monday 13th September – Wednesday 15th September: Reception children attend for mornings and lunch. They are collected at 1pm.

Monday 20th September onwards: Reception children are in full-time.

Thursday 16th September –INSET Day: Children do not attend

Friday 17th September – INSET Day: Children do not attend

    Term 2: Monday 1st November – Friday 17th December

    Term 3: Tuesday 4th January – Friday 18th February

    Term 4: Monday 28th February – Friday 8th April

Term 5: Monday 25th April – Friday 27th May (Monday 2nd May: Bank Holiday – School Closed)

Term 6: Monday 6th June – Wednesday 20th July (Thursday 21st-Friday 22nd July INSET – children do not attend)
